Subscribing to a Duke University Press Journal How do I pay for my subscription? Journal subscriptions must be prepaid by check or money order (in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank) or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). If you would like to pay by using a Proforma invoice, please request the invoice here. You may also order and pay for your subscription
online. To do so, please select the journal in which you are interested
from the drop down list below. Why do I need to provide my e-mail address? Duke University Press will use the e-mail address you provide to contact you about matters involving your subscription, such as online access and receipt of payment. We will not sell, trade, or rent your personal e-mail information to others. Will Duke University Press disclose the e-mail information it collects to outside parties? I received a renewal notice, but I already sent in my payment. Is my subscription current? If you sent a payment, please disregard the renewal notice. Customer service will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you have regarding your payment. To inquire about a payment, please submit an Individual Subscriber Status Inquiry. How do I request a tracking number for a journal order? Unfortunately, the postal service does not offer
tracking numbers for surface mail shipments. If you specified another
shipping arrangement that does offer tracking numbers, you may submit
a request here. How do I order a single issue of a journal? You may order single issues by mail, phone, fax,
or email: To request a proforma invoice, please submit a Individual Subscriber Documentation Request. To prevent a delay in processing the order, please include the single issue’s volume and issue numbers. All single-issue orders must be prepaid. You may pay by check or money order (in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank) or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Before sending in a claim for a replacement copy,
please check our Journal
Mailing Schedule to confirm that your issue has shipped. I have not received any issues. When does my subscription begin? To inquire about the status of your subscription, please submit a request here. I have received a damaged journal. How do I request a replacement copy? To request a replacement copy, please visit our online claims form. Once you have completed the form and received confirmation by e-mail, a replacement copy will be dispatched from our warehouse within 10 working days. If you are a customer in the U.S., please allow 4–6 weeks for surface shipping. If you are a customer outside the U.S., please allow 60–90 days for shipping. If we are unable to fill your claim for any reason, an explanation will be sent to the e-mail you have provided on the claims form. I have received the incorrect journal. How do I request a replacement copy? To request a replacement copy, please visit our online claims form. Once you have completed the form and received confirmation by e-mail, a replacement copy will be dispatched from our warehouse within 10 working days. If you are a customer in the U.S., please allow 4–6 weeks for surface shipping. If you are a customer outside the U.S., please allow 60–90 days for shipping. How do I request that duplicates not be sent? To report duplicate copies, please visit our online claims form. Once you have completed the form, you will receive confirmation by e-mail that your account has been corrected. Am I eligible for free online access as part of my subscription? Free online access is a benefit available to individual subscribers of most Duke University Press journals. Please click here for a list of journals offered online. With a current print subscription, you can view electronic issues back to the year 2000 as well as current content. To take advantage of online access, you will need to register with Ingenta and activate your electronic subscription. Please see the directions below. How do I obtain my customer number for online access? Your customer number is the same as your Duke University
Press account number. This number is located on the mailing label of
your print copy of the journal as well as on your renewal notice. If
you are unable to locate this number, please
click here to have customer service send this information to you. How do I register for online access? 1. On the list below, find the journal you are
subscribed to, click on the link to go to the journal’s home page,
and then click on “Subscribers can view issues online.”
