Focusing on the history of economic thought and analysis, History of Political Economy has made significant contributions to the field and remains an important means of communication. In addition to book reviews, each issue contains the products of original research on the development of economic thought, the historical background behind major figures in the history of economics, the interpretation of economic theories, and the methodologies available to historians of economic theory. All subscribers to History of Political Economy receive an annual supplement as part of their subscription.

History of Political Economy uses a single-blind refereeing process. Please include your name and affiliation (if you have one) on the first page of your paper. Papers should be double-spaced, use a conventional 12-point type such as Times New Roman, and have one-inch margins all around. Papers should be submitted as a Word document. Please submit your paper online at https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/dup-hop. Only original, unpublished papers will be considered. Please do not simultaneously offer your paper to another publication. Images should be scanned at a minimum of 300 dpi and at 4.25 inches wide and be submitted as a TIFF or EPS graphics file. When preparing your manuscript for final submission, refer to the eighteenth edition of The Chicago Manual of Style for matters of style and the journal’s complete style guide.
