Inspired by Ella Baker’s 1964 address at the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Convention, where she declared that "we who believe in freedom cannot rest," this special issue of Meridians examines how liberation is continually reimagined across diverse feminist contexts. The issue's articles trace the ongoing work of collective resistance, and together these pieces demonstrate how creative practice, memory, and political struggle remain central to the shared pursuit of freedom.
